THE BACKSTAGE STORY#Live: Backstage at the Anniversary Gala

Who wouldn’t want to look over the shoulders of Armin Morbach and Tom Kroboth during the gala styling?

This was a dream come true: The editorial team was on the spot with a camera and was given an exclusive opportunity to take in the atmosphere backstage. But in the tent, it soon becomes clear: This is how it must feel to be in a beehive.

Hustle and bustle wherever you look. Models being styled – stylists trying to quickly get the curls in shape.

Backstage as Shadow Play

The center of the backstage area is the hair styling zone, where Schwarzkopf hair expert Armin Morbach and his team prepare the Looks For You and Simon Ellis gets the Essential Looks ready for the hair show.

While over 400 invited guests are waiting impatiently outside near the catwalk for the highlight of the anniversary gala, the professionals are putting the finishing touches on hair and make-up.

In order to increase the suspense and to give the guests the feeling that they are actually witnessing the creative styling process, the backstage hustle and bustle is turned into fascinating shadow play with the help of a curtain and backlighting.

STAR STYLING FOR EVERYONE

Anyone who regularly gets top models like Eva Padberg, Franziska Knuppe, or Heidi Klum ready for fashion shows and photo shoots isn’t easily ruffled.

Not even when Armin takes a final critical look at the Looks For You. A curl quickly whisked from the face here – even more volume there.

Perfect presentation of the Looks For You is extremely important to Armin Morbach. After all, on this evening he – with his skills, his experience, and his name – stand for the current Schwarzkopf consumer trend collections.

But he doesn’t create these hairstyles only for the perfect show:

“With the Looks For You, it is primarily a question of creating tangible looks, that women can manage even at home,“ says Armin Morbach, while he is preparing a blonde model for the look The Short, using göt2b glued. As at the international fashion shows in Milan or Paris, the show presents fewer cuts but more stylings, which can be easily created with Schwarzkopf products from the retail sector.

The show begins, and the models present the Looks with the fascinating names: NATURE’S DIVINE, THE SHORT, CARAVAN GLAM, and NEW FAITH.

The performance is extremely successful, and the guests, including Patricia Riekel, Chief Editor of the German magazine Bunte, and numerous international fashion editors are impressed by the sense of style shown in the Schwarzkopf collections.

Armin Morbach and Simon Ellis are pleased as well, because they know that they and their creative teams have once more unerringly captured the spirit of the times and, moreover, delivered a perfect show. There couldn’t be a better gift for Schwarzkopf for this anniversary.
